Sonic Synths Eurorack Powered Skiff Case 104HP +5V

    Description

    •    Maximum total load: 50W
    •    Output Voltages: +5V, +12V, -12V
    •    Regulation: +12V & -12V rails with fine adjustment
    •    Recommended maximum current: +5V @ 2A, +12V @ 1.5A, -12V @ 1A
    •    Noise: +/-12V <5mV RMS, <40mV Pk to Pk. +5V <6mV RMS, <100mV Pk to Pk.
    •    Module connections: 84HP 14 x 16-pin IDC, 104HP 17 x 16-pin IDC
    •    Input power connector: 5-pin DIN
    •    Input voltages: +5V, +15V, -15V from included ‘power brick’
    •    Mains voltage: 100 to 240Vac to ‘power brick’

Depending on the modules you populate the case with, one power brick can power up multiple cases, up to 4 maximum. This is achieved using our external dc power leads. This approach was first utilised to great success on our flagship M²Synth using a similar now retired case design that precedes the System 345.

Sonic Synths System 345 is a modular analogue Synth enclosure that has versatility at the core of its design. Based around Sonic Synths unique and exclusive aluminium extrusion design, it is not constrained to any particular modular format. Starting with the Eurorack format, the range will be expanded to include 4U and 5U and even these have differing sub-formats such as the 5U MOTM, M² & MU.

System 345 launched in September 2025 initially with the 84HP Eurorack format. During the remainder of 2025 and beyond, further formats and widths will be added. Another nice feature is you can mix different formats in the same vertical rack of most cases.

Equally important and not an area to compromise in is the power supply. The System 345 excels with the number of  different solutions for different modular formats. Whether this is module voltage, power lead connectors or module spacing, the System 345 aims to cover as many as practicable. From distribution only (DO), standard power supplies (BR) through to the fully featured FR range that offers individual voltage regulation at each and every module power connector.

The power supply board slides into the aluminium extrusion and requires no fixings.

The System 345 power supplies have been designed to keep noise on the power rails low, <10mV peak to peak is typical even on the BR range.
